I specialize in designing websites for small businesses, non-profits and creative professionals.

TAROT SITES

The Tarot Channel
www.thetarotchannel.com
Fabulous blog / zine / channel. . . Editor in Chief Mark McElroy writes: "reading the site is like watching a cable network dedicated to all things Tarot, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. With eight Tarot-obsessed friends posting multiple times a day, the Tarot channel offers something no other Tarot-oriented website can offer: as many as a dozen new reviews, features, how-to's, videos, podcasts, and web links a day, every day."

Comparative Tarot
www.comparativetarot.com
The home of the Comparative Tarot method, developed by Valerie Sim. A great site and a great, friendly tarot e-list!

Aeclectic Tarot
www.aeclectic.net/tarot/
“Dedicated to the diversity & beauty of Tarot. See images of Tarot cards, read reviews of Tarot decks and books, learn about Tarot, receive a Tarot reading, or join the Tarot community.” I sometimes join in the conversation on the Tarot Deck Creation board at Aeclectic Tarot’s tarotforum.net.

Tarot Passages
www.tarotpassages.com
I love this site and can spend hours here. There are reviews of every deck and book imaginable plus lots more. I always turn to Diane Wilkes’ deck reviews first, as I find myself agreeing with her assessments time and time again.

American Tarot Association
www.ata-tarot.com
The ATA Quarterly ezine is so lush and rich, it is worth the price of membership in the ATA. Members also have “access to our Tarot correspondence courses and audio tapes, and receive special members-only discounts when attending live or virtual conferences.” You can also subscribe to a great e-newsletter, free to non-members, called “Tarot Reflections.”

Tarot Garden
www.tarotgarden.com
An amazing resource for unusual, hard-to-find, and rare collectible tarot decks. “Helping Tarot Enthusiasts and Their Collections to Grow!”

Tarot Tools
www.tarottools.com
Mark McElroy expands our Tarot consciousness by introducing brainstorming and other unique ways to use the cards. I love his phrase "no focus on hocus-pocus!” Great articles and free giveaways. “TarotTools.com is your source for creative, innovative, and unique ways to use the cards. Brainstorming is just the beginning!”

Worker of Oracles
www.workeroforacles.com
Tarot consultant and teacher James Wells’ site: “Assisting humanity to reach its full potential, one person at a time.” James is generous with his knowledge on Tarot e-lists and his readings are an insightful blend of the spiritual and the practical. I’m honored that he allowed me to include one of his spreads in the Gaian Tarot booklet.

Tarot by Kathleen
www.tarotbykathleen.com
Kathleen has lovely energy. I met her through James Wells. “Tarot by Kathleen: psychic advisor provides honest, authentic, professional woman centered and woman's spirituality psychic readings.”

SITES FOR SPECIFIC DECKS & ARTISTS:

My favorite decks are the artist-made and often self-published decks that are out of the ordinary. I love to see an artist’s personal vision expressed through the language of the Tarot.

Full Moon Dreams Tarot by Lunaea Weatherstone
www.lunaea.com/tarot/
Lunaea’s beautiful collage deck. It’s great fun choosing a card a day from her virtual deck. And now her beautiful limited edition deck is available to purchase.

Arnell Ando
www.arnellart.com
Great articles and beautiful, self-published collage decks, calendars and one-of-a-kind Tarot mirrors, boxes and more. Her “Transformational Tarot” has recently been published by US Games. I bought a “High Priestess” mirror from Arnell at an ATA conference, just as I was beginning to paint my own High Priestess. She graces my altar and blesses my work, along with a print of the High Priestess card from Ellen Lorenzi-Prince’s Tarot of the Crone . . .

Tarot of the Crone
www.croneways.com
An unusual, independently published deck by Ellen Lorenzi-Prince, honoring the wisdom of the Crone. “The Crone is the Mother of all Mothers. She knows all your bedtime stories, and all your worst nightmares.” I’m looking forward to owning my own copy of this deck!

Mary-El Tarot
www.mary-el.com
Marie White’s deck-in-progress knocks me out! Her paintings are rich in imagery and symbolism. I could look at them for hours. I love her 5-year-old daughter’s deck too — “Sophie’s Tarot”!

Ironwing Tarot
www.mineralarts.com
Lorena Babcock Moore’s work is painstaking, detailed and amazing. “The Ironwing Tarot celebrates the ancient craft of blacksmithing and its connection with shamanism.  Images are inspired by nature and the Black Metal itself. Drawings are 5"x7" ink on scratchboard, and depict women only. Major Arcana are accented with red ochre (hematite): an iron ore, gemstone, and mineral pigment.” These images and her creative process are rooted in the southwestern landscape she calls home.

MoonArcana Tarot
www.moonarcana.com
This is a digital collage majors-only deck in progress by Sally Anne Stephens, which she calls “A Fool and Her Friends,” as each card is dedicated to one of her many Tarot friends. I love the way she works in personal symbols for each person, and she has a real knack for digital collage too (which seems easy but is really difficult to do well). My favorite is the alternate Empress, in honor of Marie White of Mary-El fame. I was thrilled when Sally Anne created a card, the Earth Elemental, in honor of the Gaian Tarot.

Woman Mother Goddess Decks
www.lelandra.com/comptarot/tarotmother.htm
Oh, what a visual delight! I love Joan Cole's entire site, A Collection of Decks, but especially this page. (Careful, it's very graphics-intensive, but well worth it!)

COLORED PENCIL ART
When people see my artwork, they often exclaim “I didn’t know you could do that with colored pencil!” Well, you can — that, and more! Visit the Colored Pencil Society of America to see the amazing work that’s being done these days with fine art colored pencils.

I learned most of what I know about working with colored pencils from Ann Kullberg. She has a wonderful ezine for colored pencil artists called From My Perspective. It’s a valuable resource for anyone who wants to work in this innovative medium. Ann teaches workshops all over the country — I highly recommend her as a teacher!
